There are many times in your life where the response will be “not yet”. Like when, your mom hasn’t got paid, but you beg for your allowance money. She will say “Not yet”. Or when you’re hunting with your dad and you have sites in on a deer and you think you’re ready, but your dad then says “Not yet”.
The time that you waited for that money only made you appreciate it more because you had to wait for it. Same with the deer that moment became more memorable because you had to wait and work for the end result.
Most teens my age are spoiled and are perceived to be entitled. They get everything the want. They don’t understand that in the real world things and opportunities aren’t just given to you. If you want a successful job you have to work for it. You’d have to do the schooling and the work in school and get a job outside of school to pay for all your schooling.
They also use the phrase “Not yet” in church’s. I’m guessing you’ve heard the phrase “If a door gets closed, God will open a window”, In my life he has torn down a whole wall before telling me “Not yet”.
It was one of those days where you didn’t know what was wrong, but that one person would put you over the edge. I was so done with that person and some things they’ve said and done to me. I may have said some unpleasant things to her, but we both were very conflicted with different things and we agreed that we had to say “Not yet” or else it could’ve ruined a lot more than we both intended.
“Not yet” is a phrase used for waiting. Use it wisely because it could ruin or save so many relationships.
